About Me
Hi, I’m Molly, a professional middle-distance runner and writer based in Denver, Colorado.

I started running track when I was about ten years old, wearing a pair of hand-me-down spikes from a thrift store. (They were yellow with a light blue stripe, I'll never forget.) I loved track then, and I still love it now.

I grew up in a small town called McCook, Nebraska, and later moved to a bigger small town called Stillwater, Oklahoma, where I competed as an NCAA Division I track athlete. I majored in track, but I also earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and communication from Oklahoma State University.

Despite not being a top recruit, I went on to win six Big 12 titles and earn five All-American honors during my time at OSU. I continued to improve after college, competing against pros, rising in the ranks, and achieving a world ranking of 59 while navigating a full-time marketing career off the track.
I attribute this to my grittiness, showing up even when it's hard, staying curious, and believing in myself.

Today, I’ve merged my two passions, running and writing, into a career that allows me to tell stories, connect with others, and explore the lessons this sport can teach about life.

Outside of training and writing, I’m a proud dog mom to two Mini Australian Shepherds: Bowie (yes, after David Bowie) and Bronx (because I love New York City).
I’m fiercely competitive at Monopoly and have no self-control if there's a bag of gummy bears in front of me.
