About Me

Hi, I’m Molly, a professional middle-distance runner and writer based in Colorado.

I started running track when I was about ten years old, wearing a pair of hand-me-down spikes from a thrift store. I loved it then, and I’ve never really stopped.

I grew up in a small town called McCook, Nebraska, and later moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma, where I competed in NCAA track and earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and communication from Oklahoma State University.

What began as a childhood hobby became both a career and a calling. I’ve been fortunate to win six Big 12 titles, earn five All-American honors, and continue to chase my potential on and off the track. I believe in showing up, staying curious, and rising to the occasion, whatever that might be.

Today, I’ve merged my two passions—running and writing—into a career that allows me to tell stories, connect with others, and explore the lessons sport can teach us about life.

Outside of training and writing, I’m a proud dog mom to two Mini Australian Shepherds: Bowie (yes, after David Bowie) and Bronx (because I love New York City). I’m fiercely competitive at Monopoly and have an undeniable soft spot for gummy bears.

If you want to know more, just ask! I’m always up for a good conversation.
